Product description examples from indie listings

There are 70 live listings on RadarMakers today, and 70 of them have a description. For each one, this page shows the first sentence and the length of the whole description in words, so you can compare how products open and how much they say.

These examples include SaaS, templates, games and desktop apps. Opening sentences are excerpts, not full summaries or recommendations.

The median description has 63.5 words. In 60 of 70 descriptions, the first sentence starts with the product name.

Excerpts use the listing text with Markdown formatting converted to plain text and whitespace collapsed. We do not check claims against the product website. Read each product page for the full description.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the descriptions come from?

Descriptions come from maker submissions and listings added by the RadarMakers team. This page reproduces excerpts and does not independently verify their claims.

How are words and first sentences counted?

Word counts cover the full description after Markdown is converted to plain text. Words are separated by whitespace. Openings use an automatic sentence boundary rule, which can misread abbreviations or miss sentence breaks.

Does this page change?

Yes. It reads the catalog when the page loads, so new listings and edited descriptions appear here too.

Taglines from the same listings are on product tagline examples, and pricing text is on software pricing examples. For writing guidance, read How to Write a Product Tagline and Description That Works, and use the meta tag preview to adapt a description to page metadata. When your description is ready, submit your product.
