9 referral visits we recorded in one October week
This is not a growth playbook. From October 21 to 27, 2026, our analytics recorded 2 visits from hereismysaas.com, 3 from alohafind.com, 2 from admin.webcatalog.io, 1 from thelaunchdirectory.com and 1 from github.com, for 9 visits in total. Most submissions were made on October 20 to 22, and several launches were still scheduled for later. This short window does not establish how much traffic these sites can bring.
The full record of the 19 tries is on Where to launch a SaaS: 19 sites we tried. The same visit count is also written on Product Hunt alternatives. The 43 directories and launch sites we checked for free submission options are on free startup directory requirements.

What we check before asking anyone to try it
These four steps are from our product launch checklist, in the section Launch day: share with context.
- Your own audience. Send a concise message to people who asked for updates, including your newsletter subscribers. Explain who the product helps, show what it does and include one link. Keep every claim grounded in what is available today.
- Communities you already belong to. Read each community's sharing rules first. Explain the problem, what you built and the specific feedback you need. Share where the topic is relevant and stay available to answer questions.
- Direct outreach. Contact a small number of people whose work matches the problem. Make each message specific to their needs, ask permission to show the product and stop if they are not interested.
- Clear feedback request. Ask visitors to try one task and tell you where they got stuck. Keep a simple log of the task, the friction they reported and whether you can reproduce it.
Read the product launch checklist. Submit your product.

Is 9 visits a benchmark?
